Relocation Guide

Moving to Montgomery County?

Relocating is one of life's biggest transitions. Whether you're moving from across the state or across the country, I'll help you find the right community and make the move as smooth as possible.

Why Montgomery County?

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania is consistently ranked among the best places to live in the state. It offers top-rated school districts, low crime rates, beautiful parks and trails, and a strong job market with access to Philadelphia, King of Prussia, and the Route 202 corridor.

The county is home to distinct communities I serve, each with its own personality. Whether you're drawn to the walkable downtown of Ambler, the estate properties of Blue Bell, or the riverfront energy of Conshohocken, there's a community here that fits your life. See all neighborhoods.

How I Help Relocating Buyers

Relocation is my specialty, particularly for first-time buyers and move-up buyers coming from other areas. Here's what I provide:

  • Neighborhood matching based on your commute, budget, family needs, and lifestyle preferences
  • School district information including rankings, feeder patterns, and program details
  • Virtual tours and video walkthroughs before you visit in person
  • Commute analysis to your workplace or family locations
  • Local service connections for lenders, inspectors, movers, contractors, and more
  • Community integration after closing: where to shop, eat, exercise, and get involved

What You Need to Know

Schools

Montgomery County is known for excellent public schools. Wissahickon (serving Blue Bell, Ambler, Lower Gwynedd), Upper Dublin (serving Dresher, North Wales), and Plymouth Whitemarsh (serving Plymouth Meeting) consistently rank among the top districts in Pennsylvania. Private options include Germantown Academy, Penn Charter, and the Hill School nearby in Pottstown.

Commute

SEPTA regional rail connects several Montgomery County communities directly to Center City Philadelphia. King of Prussia, Conshohocken, and Plymouth Meeting offer major highway access via the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76), Route 422, and Route 309. Average commute to Center City is 25-40 minutes by train.

Outdoor Recreation

Valley Forge National Historical Park, the Schuylkill River Trail, Wissahickon Valley Park, and numerous country clubs and golf courses provide year-round outdoor recreation. The region has over 100 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and walking.

Cost of Living

The typical home price range in my service areas is $400,000 to $2,000,000. Property taxes vary by school district, which is an important factor to discuss during your search. I'll help you understand the full cost picture, not just the purchase price.
